Pokemon Diamond & Pearl

Being the next generation, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl would certainly be a highly anticipated hit amongst gamers when it is released. Apparently, it is now released in Japan just 3 days ago. However, it would not be out in the US until next year. Obviously, a title would not be considered next generation if it did not have any features. Thus, by comparing Pokemon Diamond & Pearl against the best-seller Ruby & Sapphire, LeafGreen & FireRed, we can see the significant changes they would bring out.
Changes:
-A new region to explore in (Shin'ou)
-Somewhat a 3d-like environment
-Newer Pokedex features
-Super Contests (similar to Pokemon Contests)
-Pokebread (similar to Pokeblocks)
-Secret Bases make a comeback
-Slight differences between female and male pokemon of the same species
-New abilities for pokemon
-New attacks
-A new device known as the Poketchi (Wristwatch)
-Battle Tower makes a comeback
-New Pokemon natures
-New combination of Pokemon elements (however, no new elements)
-New pokeballs
-And, definitely new pokemon
